I have drifted into some pretty cool collaborative projects in which I became the main audio designer.
Audio design is more about the world around us and the noise that it makes. These are the projects
that feature musical scores, or foley design.

I stepped into this project blind. My boss asked me if i'd be interested in taking a stab at the sound design...
so I said yes! The best way I can describe the process is by comparing it to a collage, but with frequencies.
The actions taking place are implausible— with no practical way of knowing what it might sound like. What does
sand sound like when it is getting compressed into a solid??? I started to find things that resembled the sound I wanted
while augmenting that source audio with additional effects. ex. The black orb/ball/thing breaks apart into small jagged stones
but the sound that is used is from the recording of a tree being split in half.

Triolet For Laika

Director and Illustrator Emory Allen, approached me to write the music for Triolet for Laika in 2015.
I jumped on the opportunity, as it would be the first short film I had the privilege of scoring. I went all
out with the synthesizers and I opted for an epic style of percussion that was inspired by 80's cinematic pop.

Bloom is a vignette done by a few of my co-workers as a dedication to life and beauty. It started in September 2015 when Josh Clos (FX simulations and dynamics) and Romain Faure (modeling, lighting, rendering and compositing) decided to work on a personal project with the intent of further exploring their abilities without restrictions. It still leaves me breathless that they devoted this to my wife, who died in 2015. I scored it before I knew what it was for, ...so thank you Josh Clos, Romain Faure, and Cristina Barna for a wonderful gift.
